Involvement & Achievements


Organize an interdisciplinary team to compete in various national & international competitions and worked closely with the department to establish strong relationships with industry members.  

Vice President

Co-designed the chassis of the formula vehicle and handled administrative duties ranging from sponsorship package development to acquiring necessary permissions for working at the school.


Provided feedback on projects when necessary and helped assemble the bridge that was designed for the Appalachian Trail in Northern Virginia.

  • Nov. 2019 – Honorable Mention

    Awarded by the National Graphene Association (NGA) for the graphene composite design competition proposal.

  • May 2019 – Chairman’s Award

    Received the inaugural chairman’s award from the Mechanical Engineering department.

  • Apr. 2019 – Second Place

    Ranked second in the International NACE University Student Design and Applied Solutions Competition for development of robot.

  • Apr. 2019 – Member of The Year

    Recognized as the American Society of Mechanical Engineer’s member of the year in the Northern Virginia section.

  • Mar. 2019 – First Place

    Ranked first in the nationwide multidisciplinary engineering competition hosted by Society of American Military Engineers for waste energy resourcing design idea.

  • May 2018 – Outstanding Research

    Received one of three outstanding research awards from 150 attending groups at the semi-annual Celebration of Student Scholarship conference held by Office of Student Scholarship, Creativity, and Research.

  • May 2016 – Third Place

    Ranked third in the inaugural research proposal competition hosted by the Mechanical Engineering department for proposing to investigate graphene super capacitors as an alternative energy storage method.
